Bio

Dr. Scott L. Coven is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and is a recent addition to the faculty of the Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology at Indiana University School of Medicine and Riley Hospital for Children. Dr. Coven joins the Neuro-Oncology Team with a special interest in cancer survivorship and public and global health. He received his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine, completed Residency at Baylor Scott & White Health and Fellowship at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH. Additionally, Dr. Coven earned a Masters of Public Health from The Ohio State University and completed a Neuro-Oncology Fellowship under the mentorship of Jonathan L. Finlay. Dr. Coven is active in promoting awareness of brain tumors in children, as well as employing technology to improve the quality of life for childhood cancer survivors. Furthermore, Dr. Coven is passionate about global medicine and is utilizing his expertise to expand Neuro-Oncology services in Kenya. When not working on various job-related projects, Dr. Coven enjoys watching or playing sports, spending time with his family, and traveling.
