Bio

Dr. Bamba is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Surgery.  His clinical areas of expertise are breast reconstruction and general plastic surgery. 

Dr. Bamba was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. He earned his undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis where he graduated with honors in Biology. Afterwards, he matriculated at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, one of the nation’s top medical schools. He then completed a full general surgery residency at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and a research fellowship in peripheral nerve surgery at Vanderbilt University. After becoming a board-certified general surgeon, he completed a plastic surgery residency at Indiana University and a fellowship in breast and microsurgery at the University of Chicago.
