Bio

Dr. Kobie Douglas, MD is the Chief Medical Officer for Regional Health Systems in Merrillville, Indiana. He serves as the program director for the Indiana University School of Medicine/Regional Health Systems Psychiatry Residency Program in Merrillville, Indiana.

Dr. Douglas has over 23 years of experience in Psychiatry. Dr. Douglas is a graduate of the University of Michigan and attended medical school at Howard University College of Medicine, followed by graduate studies at Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Douglas completed a Psychiatry Residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and his Public Psychiatry Fellowship at Columbia University in the College of Physicians and Surgeons. During Dr. Douglas’s 20+ year career, he has earned several awards and distinctions, including; Richard L. Scharf M.D. Memorial Award for Teaching Excellence from Mount Sinai School of Medicine School of Psychiatry and the Extra Mile Award from the Community Mental Health Council. Dr. Douglas has extensive experience in Neurodevelopmental Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, and addiction and substance abuse.
