Kathryn Nevel, MD

Bio

Dr. Nevel is a board certified neurologist and neuro-oncologist who specializes in the care of patients with primary and metastatic brain and spinal cord tumors, neurologic complications of cancer and paraneoplastic syndromes. She earned her MD degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Following medical school, she completed a neurology residency at the University of Virginia, serving as Chief Resident her final year. She then completed a Neuro-Oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, serving as Chief Fellow in her final year.
Her professional focus is caring for patients with neuro-oncologic diseases and graduate medical education. Her research focus is on neuro-oncologic diseases including gliomas, brain metastases and leptomeningeal metastases.
