Bio

Dr. Travis Dams originally grew up in Michigan where he did is undergraduate training at Western Michigan University and completed his MD at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. He transplanted to Indiana to complete his Family Medicine Residency at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Indiana. After residency Dr. Dams took a faculty role with the IUSM Arnett Family Medicine Residency in Lafayette, Indiana. In 2021 he became Program Director for the Arnett residency.

His clinical interests include inpatient medicine, outpatient clinic, and teaching. He values providing and organizing care for patients of all ages, and emphasizes caring for all aspects of a patient. When time allows he has a passion for medical history and humanities, and tries to incorporate this into his work where he can.
