Bio
Robert Presson was born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Birmingham, AL. He completed his undergraduate training at Vanderbilt University. Following graduation from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, he completed training in Pediatrics at Texas Children’s Hospital and Anesthesiology at the University of Virginia. After completing a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, he joined the faculty of Indiana University School of Medicine in 1987. Dr. Presson has worked as a pediatric anesthesiologist and intensivist at Riley Children’s Hospital since joining the faculty. He became the Robert K. Stoelting Professor and Chairman of the Department of Anesthesia in 2012.
