Brenna S. Monsef, MD

Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine

Bio

Brenna completed her emergency medicine training at the University of Arizona. Since finishing residency, she has worked in a variety of settings including a community emergency department in Tucson, an urgent care and most recently, the emergency department at the VA Medical Center in Indianapolis prior to joining IU faculty at Methodist in April of 2017.

Brenna was born and raised in San Francisco. She is married to an ophthalmologist. It was his cornea fellowship training that brought them out to Indianapolis in 2012. They have two young kids that keep them on their toes. When not working or chasing her kids around, Brenna enjoys working out, doing DIY projects around the house, finding good vegetarian food around Indy and practicing martial arts. She has a 1st degree black belt in hapkido and a 2nd degree black belt in taekwondo.
