Bio
Dr. April Rahrig is a board certified pediatric hematologist/oncologist who specializes in stem cell transplant and immunotherapy. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Park Ridge, Illinois and her Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship training at Indiana University/Riley Hospital. She then went on to pursue a stem cell transplant and immunotherapy fellowship at Indiana University/Riley Hospital and subsequently joined the Department of Pediatrics as a stem cell transplant physician in January 2021. Clinically, Dr. Rahrig focuses of the use of stem cell transplant and CAR- T Cell therapy in patients with high risk leukemia. She also has a Master’s degree from Indiana University in clinical research and focuses her research on complications from stem cell transplant and CAR-T Cell therapy. Outside of work, April enjoys spending time with her husband and three daughters.
