Jamie B. Dimond

James Dimond, MBA, is the Executive Associate Dean for Finance and Administration at Indiana University School of Medicine. In this role, Mr. Dimond has administrative responsibility for all aspects of the medical school’s operations, including financial analysis and budgeting, clinic operations, human resources, research/grant support, medical education programs, business intelligence, space management and planning, contracting and outreach services, and new program development.

The school employs more than two thousand five hundred full-time and part-time faculty members in nineteen clinical departments and six basic science departments, and is supported by more than one thousand six hundred staff. Additionally, the school trains approximately one thousand four hundred medical students and one thousand two hundred residents and fellows each year.

The annual operating budget for IU School of Medicine is in excess of $750M on the academic and research missions, and over $1.5B withthe group practice and hospital/clinic operations.

Prior to this role, Mr. Dimond was the Chief Department Administrator for Pediatrics and Communicable Diseases at the University of Michigan Health System. Mr. Dimond was also a Manager in the health care consulting practices at Accenture Health and Life Sciences and Ernst and Young LLP. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan’s School of Business Administration.
