Bio
Dr. Matt Landman is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the IU School of Medicine and Associate Trauma Medical Director at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. He is a native of rural Iowa and attended Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa for his undergraduate education. He graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in biology with a minor in chemistry. He attended Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN. Following the completion of medical school, he continued his training in the general surgery residency program at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. During this residency, he also completed a Masters of Public Health degree through Vanderbilt University. He then completed a pediatric general and thoracic surgery fellowship at Children’s Hospital Colorado. He is board-certified in adult and pediatric general surgery by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of both the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics. His clinical interests include management of chest wall anomalies, minimally-invasive pediatric surgery, and pediatric trauma. Outside of medicine, he enjoys travel and spending time with family and friends.
