Bio

Rabia Qaiser, MD is a pediatric neurosurgeon who joined the Department of Neurological Surgery in August 2022. She returned to Indiana University School of Medicine after serving as the director of the Pediatric Neurosurgery Division at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center in Temple, Texas, since 2018. She was also associate program director of the Neurosurgery Residency Program at Baylor Scott & White.

Qaiser earned her medical degree from Karachi Medical and Dental College in Pakistan in 1999, followed by a neurosurgery residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery at the IU School of Medicine Department of Neurological Surgery in 2015 and a fellowship in cerebrovascular neurosurgery at Stanford University Medical Center in 2017.

Qaiser serves as the Pediatric Neurosurgery fellowship director and co-associate program director of the residency program.
