Bio

Dr. Qaiser is a pediatric neurosurgeon who joined the Department of Neurological Surgery in August 2022. She returned to IU after serving as the director of the Pediatric Neurosurgery Division at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center in Temple, TX, since 2018. She was also associate program director of the Neurosurgery Residency Program at Baylor Scott & White for the past 3 years.

Qaiser earned her medical degree from Karachi Medical and Dental College in Pakistan in 1999, followed by a neurosurgery residency at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery in IU’s Department of Neurological Surgery in 2015 and a fellowship in cerebrovascular neurosurgery at Stanford University Medical Center in 2017. 

Qaiser serves as the Pediatric Neurosurgery fellowship director and co-associate program director of the residency program.
