Bio
Frances Russell, originally from Connecticut, obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from Iona College in New York where she ran Division I Track and Cross County. She then received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin and finished EM residency at the University of Connecticut.
After residency she travelled to Chicago for an Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship at Cook County Hospital. Frances joined the EM faculty here at IU in 2013. She previously served as the Ultrasound Division Chief and Fellowship director. Frances currently serves as a co-director for the Educational Ultrasound Initiative for IU School of Medicine.
Her medical interests include ultrasound education and research. She spends a majority of her free time enjoying the company of her husband Brent, children Caleb and Elle, and dog Bernie.
