Dr. Large chose to specialize in urology because he wanted to help improve the quality of life for many individuals suffering from kidney stones or lower urinary tract symptoms. His research interests include the use of opioids for postoperative pain control and has helped implement narcotic-free surgeries for non-cancerous surgeries.

In his free time, Dr. Large enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, hiking and traveling.
