Dr. Prakash Pande is a professor of clinical medicine in the Indiana University School of Medicine’s Division of Cardiology with a special interest in heart disease in women and the elderly. Dr. Pande began his career as a full-time research scientist, having received a senior research fellowship granted by the Council of Scientific and Industrial research in India (only 50 awards are given nationwide.) After leaving India, his focus turned from laboratory research to clinical medicine and teaching. Prior to his affiliation with IU, Dr. Pande was the head of the cardiology unit and director of the cardiology fellowship program at Rochester General Hospital, Rochester, New York. in Rochester. During his affiliation with Rochester General Hospital, he was the principal investigator for several large clinical trials and was a research consultant for the Eastman Kodak company. He also was the team captain for the General Clerkship at and was a member of the Education, Training and Planning committee of the Primary Care Residency Program.Year | Degree | Institution |
