My interests lie in the area of collaborative medical research. Collaborators have included individuals working in the areas of diabetes, cardiology, hypertension, anatomy and nursing. I am especially interested in using statistical methodology to examine questions that we cannot answer directly using human subjects. This approach involves educating researchers to ways of using statistical adjustment for factors that cannot be directly manipulated. This is particularly useful for clinical trials where subjects are not identical and dose has to be adjusted based upon response.
