Bio

Dr. Hicks has been a member of the IU Child Protection Programs since July 2007. Since July 2012 he has also served as program director for the IU Child Abuse Pediatrics fellowship training program. Dr. Hicks is a graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed his pediatrics residency and fellowship training at The Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Prior to joining the IU faculty, he also had faculty appointments at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and at Wright State University School of Medicine. He has worked in general pediatrics and child abuse pediatrics, as well as serving as director of medical student education in the pediatrics department for 10 years while at Wright State.
