Dr. Williams is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Adolescent Medicine, and Associate Division Chief in charge of clinical programs as of July 2020. She has been a faculty member in the division since 2009 and an active clinical educator and mentor. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine and provides direct patient care in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and Long Acting Reversible Contraceptive clinics. She is Chief Physician Executive of the Teen Care and Wellness Program at Eskenazi Health Centers, providing primary care services for adolescents and operating adolescent clinics in Eskenazi Federally Qualified Health Centers and School-Based Health Centers. She is involved in adolescent health advocacy efforts both locally and nationally, and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine, and the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology.

Dr. Williams primary research interest is the biological, psychological, and social contextual factors influencing contraceptive use among adolescents. She oversees the integration of research protocols with the division’s clinical activities and conducts quality improvement projects.
Dr. Williams provides clinical care and supervises learners in general adolescent medicine, mental health, reproductive and sexual health, eating disorders, and chronic illness management. She has specific interest and expertise in pediatric and adolescent gynecology (non-surgical) including: menstrual disorders, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), contraception, long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARC, intrauterine devices and implants), and reproductive health services for adolescents with chronic illness. She strives to provide individualized care for each patient and family that is culturally sensitive, gender-affirming, and inclusive. She provides consultative care for inpatients at Riley Hospital for Children, and outpatient services at the clinics and locations below.
