Bio
Dr. Cantor was raised in Indianapolis and is proud to be called a “Hoosier.” He graduated from Indiana University in 2007 with a B.A. in Biology, and subsequently obtained his Master’s degree in Biology in 2008. He graduated from the IU School of Medicine in 2012, and then completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Indiana University in 2015. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine.
Dr. Cantor joined the IU School of Medicine faculty as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine in 2015. He practices full-time Emergency Medicine at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center and part-time at Eskenazi Hospital. His academic interests include student education, and he has previously served as the VAMC Emergency Department education director for 4th year medical (MS4) students as well as physician assistant (PA) students. He also serves as the Emergency Medicine physician leader for STEMI care at the VA Medical Center.
Away from the hospital, Rob enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters, and two huskies. He also likes spending time outdoors, skiing/snowboarding, skeet shooting, and traveling.
