Bio

Dr. Weaver is the Senior Vice President of Clinical Effectiveness for Indiana University Health. In this role, he is a part of the health system’s senior leadership team and leads the efforts in care variatin work, pharmacy, supply chain, quality improvement, care coordination, and physician and advanced provider recruiting among many other leadership responsibilities.

Dr. Weaver received his MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business.  He has completed multiple National Association of Public Hospitals’ Leadership Fellowships, the ACEP Emergency Medicine Basic Research Skills Fellowship and the McMasters course "How to Teach Evidence Based Medicine." He was awarded the Council of Emergency Medicine Residency Directors’ National Faculty Teaching Award in 2005 and the Horizon Award from the American College of Emergency Physicians(ACEP).  Chris is a past member of the Steering Committee for ACEP and is a past President for the Indiana Chapter of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He is a reviewer for the Annals of Emergency Medicine, Academic Emergency Medicine, and the Journal of Emergency Medicine.
