Bio

Erica A. Eugster was born in Washington, D.C., and received her M.D. degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1990. She completed her pediatric residency training at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wisconsin in 1994, and subsequently undertook fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. In 1997, Dr. Eugster joined the faculty of Indiana University School of Medicine as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, where she was promoted to Associate Professor in 2001 and to Professor in 2006. Since 2000, Dr. Eugster has served as Co-Director of the Pediatric Endocrine Fellowship Training Program, and in 2004 she was appointed Section Director of Pediatric Endocrinology/Diabetology at Riley Hospital for Children. Dr. Eugster is a member of the Society for Pediatric Research, the Pediatric Endocrine Society, The Endocrine Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Women in Endocrinology. She served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Pediatric Endocrine Society from 2009-2012 and a member of the Sub-Board of Endocrinology of the American Board of Pediatrics from 2011-2016 and was subsequently appointed deputy medical editor.
