Since joining the faculty at Indiana University in 2004 I have been increasingly involved in medical student and resident education. This spark in education has developed into a passion. I was honored to receive Outstanding Professor in Clinical Science, Resident’s Award for Teaching Excellence and the Indiana University Trustee teaching award in multiple years. I began as the Assistant Clerkship Director for Psychiatry and have evolved into being the Program Director for the Psychiatry Residency. I look forward to continuing this into the future as we are training the next generation of physicians.
I have been proud to call Indianapolis home since 1995 and certainly believe it has been a great place to raise a family.

Exploring novel, creative and engaging ways to deliver clinical and didactic medical education.
I spend my clinical time as a hospitalist in acute inpatient psychiatric care. This has been in conjunction with Wishard and now Eskenazi Health Services to provide safety net care for the Indianapolis area. This is a general service for adults with a variety of diagnosis but most commonly schizophrenia, mood disorders, and addictions.
