Bio

Dr. Ladd currently serves as Division Head for the Section of Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgery. He received both his medical degree and doctoral degree in Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine.

Dr. Ladd’s clinical focus is in the surgical care of pediatric intestinal malabsorption and short-gut syndrome and includes neonatal surgery, surgical oncology, and hepatobiliary surgery.

His research focus is in surgical education and clinical surgery outcomes, where he has served as principle, co-investigator or contributor to more than 40 of peer reviewed publications.

Dr. Ladd is a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association, American Academy of Pediatrics Section of Surgery, American College of surgeons and Association for Surgical Education. He currently serves on the board of the Association for Surgical Education Foundation.
