Bio
Dr. Lauren Dungy-Poythress is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology, and maternal-fetal medicine. Her clinical interests include health disparities, preterm labor, preeclampsia, and exercise and nutrition during pregnancy. She has more than 25 years of experience and has designed, developed and led successful maternal-fetal programs in three states.
Dr. Dungy-Poythress earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan and went on to complete an obstetrics and gynecology residency at nearby St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She then completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Additionally, she has held faculty appointments at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, Michigan State University and the Indiana University School of Medicine.
