Dr. Sharon Andreoli is the Byron P. and Frances D. Hollett Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine. She received her medical degree and fellowship at Indiana University School of Medicine. She continued her career within the section of Pediatric Nephrology and in 2004, she became the Section Director of Pediatric Nephrology. She served in this role until June 2017. During her career, Dr. Andreoli has served in many roles not only on the IUSM level but she has also served and represented the department and IUSM nationally and internationally. Some of her activities include serving on the IUSM Conflict of Interest Committee. Dr. Andreoli has been a strong voice for the promotion of the department’s clinical and tenure track faculty. She served as the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics Promotion Committee for Clinical Faculty for 18 years. In 2008, she became the Chair of the IUSM Promotion and Tenure Committee as well as Dr. Andreoli has served at the campus level since 2006 on the IUPUI Promotion and Tenure Committee. Nationally, she has served on ten different committees of the National Kidney Foundation. In 2016, she was award the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana’s Lifetime Achievement Award.Year | Degree | Institution |

Dr. Andreoli's research interests include acute and chronic renal failure in children, the pathophysiology of hemolytic uremic syndrome and glomerular diseases including IgA nephropathy. She has received grants from the NIH, Baxter Healthcare Corporation, and Genentec.
