Why I chose Family Medicine: 

I chose family medicine because it allows me to create relationships with patients and personalized plans that would allow them to attain their health goals. I love the broad spectrum of knowledge and skills that are required to be a family medicine physician and the multitude of settings of in which I would be able to practice. Jack of all traits! 

Why I chose the IU Health Primary Care Central Indianapolis Family Medicine Residency Program:

The people! All the residents and attendings that I have ever worked with in this program are incredible. I attended IU School of Medicine for medical school, and I had the honor to be trained by Dr. Sevilla and Dr. Hernandez. These two magnanimous Latinx role-models have been inspiring and instrumental in my medical education, and I could not miss the opportunity to continue to train with them in residency.  

Interests and hobbies:  

I love spending time with my dog (Cora) and two cats (Ellie and Ava) alongside my beautiful future wife, whom I couple’s Matched with and is going into Anesthesia. When I’m not with them, I like to play the guitar, watch Barcelona FC destroy the competition and play soccer.
