Why I chose Family Medicine:
I chose family medicine because I value seeing and addressing the patient’s whole story. I get to use a broad range of tools and knowledge and can address a patient’s concerns more holistically than any other specialty. Additionally, throughout medical school, I was always surprised how much I liked everything! The field of family medicine gives me the time and space to grow in all the areas of medicine I appreciate and value.
Why I chose the IU Health Primary Care Central Indianapolis Family Medicine Residency Program:
I chose this residency program because as a medical student at IU, I saw how thoughtful and patient the attendings and residents were with patients and medical students. A kind, welcoming environment was present no matter what team I was on, and whether I was inpatient or in the clinic. I am excited to be a part of creating a loving and holistic community!
Interests and hobbies:
Like the breadth of knowledge a family medicine doctor has, I have a great variety of interest and hobbies. First and foremost, I am a disc-sport fanatic. I play pick-up ultimate frisbee multiple times a week and have even played the sport semi-professionally. I also get a few rounds of disc golf in when I can. I also consider myself an amateur ceramicist when I have access to a wheel to throw on. My more casual ways I like to relax also include music with my vinyl collection and playing classical guitar, as well as a videogame here or there.
