Casey Sedillo, MD
Resident Appointee
Bio
I'm originally from Phoenix, Arizona, and graduated in 2022 from the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix. After completing my medical education, I moved to Indianapolis for residency.
I chose IUEM for its exceptional people. The large residency class combined with the program's tight-knit community made the transition across the country feel much more manageable. I was drawn to IUEM because I wanted to be prepared to practice emergency medicine in any setting, and I knew this program would provide that versatility.
Within EM, I have special interests in toxicology and addiction medicine. My goal is to pursue a toxicology fellowship following my time at IUEM, with a long-term aspiration to work at an academic center where I can work alongside residents and medical students.
Outside of work, I'm passionate about weightlifting and enjoy reading, cooking, and caring for my many houseplants. I’m also a proud cat mom.
One of my favorite spots in Indianapolis is Sullivan’s—a unique hardware store with a café inside, where you can dine in a greenhouse atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to relax and soak up some sun, especially during the winter months.
