Bio

Why I chose Family Medicine: Family medicine offers the opportunity to create meaningful relationships with patients as we work as a team to approach preventative care and acute health visits together. Studies have shown that primary care physicians increase life expectancy of patients more than any other field. Having the ability to help patients avoid preventable medical circumstances and costs while promoting a healthy lifestyle is a superpower in and of itself, and I cannot imagine pursuing any other discipline.

Why I chose the IU Health Primary Care Central Indianapolis Family Medicine Residency Program:This residency program is special because it undoubtably puts the “family” in family medicine. The priority for teaching, professionalism, teamwork, resident wellness, and excellent patient care from this program exemplifies how a strong family medicine residency should be run, like a close-knit family. As an Indianapolis native, Methodist Hospital has served my family, and I have grown with it while serving as a volunteer and medical student. I have developed a sense of family with this hospital, and I am thrilled to be part of the team.

Interests and hobbies: Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, singing, cooking, exploring new foods, exercising, and learning new languages.
