Bio

Why Emergency Medicine? I love the patient population and treating sick patients. It is very rewarding to treat patients in most likely the scariest moments of their life and helping them through it. You never know what will show up on your shift. This is not only exciting, but it also pushes you to keep up-to-date on all medical illnesses.

Why did you choose the Indiana University School of Medicine Emergency Residency program? IUEM is an all-around great program. I am impressed with the amount of critical care rotations, pediatric exposure, and the variety of clinical sites with diverse patient populations! The faculty and residents are not only incredible doctors, but also incredible people. Being from the Midwest, this program felt like a great fit for me.

What are some of your personal interests? I love being outdoors with my wife, family and friends. We spend a lot of time hiking and taking our dog on walks, biking around the city, and hanging out by a bonfire with some friends. You can probably find us by the water somewhere because we love lake life too! I played collegiate golf and still enjoy spending time on the links when I can get out.
