Shae Jansen, MD

Bio

Dr. Shae Jansen developed her passion for OB-GYN because of the dignity of women prevalent in this field, global health relevance and opportunities, and her love for surgery. She spent six months during medical school in East Africa and hopes to continue towards a career in long-term global health. She is thrilled to be staying at Indiana University for her residency to learn this field alongside genuinely supportive residents and faculty. She also values IU OB-GYN’s prioritization of caring for underserved patient populations and medical student education. In her free time, Shae loves spending as much time as possible outdoors (running, hiking, backpacking, cliff jumping, sky diving, sailing), planning an annual try-athalon for novice triathletes, brunching, and exploring local coffee shops with friends.
