Shifaa grew up between Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and California. She received her B.S in Biology and M.D from the American University of Beirut. She then did two years of research at Stanford University - Sean N. Parker Center for Allergy and Asthma Research. Her focus was on Atopic Dermatitis and food allergies. Shifaa got to travel and volunteer through med school- she participated in an IFMSA exchange to Turkey and volunteered at a hospice care center in Lebanon among other things. She enjoys hosting friends, views of the canal from her balcony, and Arabic music. She hopes to pursue a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology.
