Wendy was born in Chicago and raised in the suburb of Naperville. Her parents and dog Walter now live in Seattle, WA so she enjoys hiking and eating seafood in the Pacific Northwest whenever she has the chance. In her free time, she enjoys dog-walking, rollerblading, following USA gymnastics/figure skating, and going to local farmers markets.
Wendy is interested in community-centered care, LGBTQIA care, and health disparities & inequities. During her gap year, she worked at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics in Chicago. In medical school, she completed research on health literacy and food insecurity at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County. She is looking forward to continuing to work with vulnerable communities in the Indianapolis area during residency and hopes to pursue a fellowship in Family Planning.
