Why I chose family medicine: I chose family medicine because it is a full spectrum specialty which allows for a diverse patient population. During my clinical rotations I observed primary care physicians interact with and build long term trusting relationships with their patients. This trust allowed them to guide their patients in making medical decisions, even outside of their primary care needs. Those connections that I observed led me to choosing family medicine.

Why I chose the IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency Program: The IU Methodist Family Medicine Residency Program became my first choice from the moment I walked in the door for for my interview. I felt a great sense of camaraderie amongst the staff and residents. I was also drawn to the strong curriculum and vast academic opportunities that the program has to offer through its various tracks.

Personal interests and hobbies: I enjoy water polo, scuba diving, hiking, crafting and snowboarding.
