Bio

Where did you grow up?

I was born in Lexington, Kentucky, but I grew up mostly in Carmel, Indiana.

What is your medical school/undergraduate background?

I studied biological sciences and economics at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and then returned to my community to attend Indiana University School of Medicine.

Why are you pursuing a career in ENT?

The opportunity to treat a wide range of pathologies using highly varied techniques in one the most anatomically complex regions of the body is what draws me towards a career in otolaryngology—head and neck surgery. In addition, both the Department of Otolaryngology team and patient population are a pleasure to work with.

What intrigued you about IU School of Medicine?

It is the only tertiary care academic medical center in the state. If there is a healthcare need, it is served here, which makes it a fantastic learning environment and affords many opportunities to help patients in need.

What have you learned most from faculty in the department?

How to approach a demanding career with enthusiasm and happiness.

What are some of your hobbies?

Electric guitar, hip hop dance, cooking, video games, film.
