My journey to medicine began when I googled "how to become a doctor" in eighth grade and came across the six-year BA/MD program in Kansas City, Missouri. I packed my bags and left Chicago to experience the charm of small Midwest cities and fell in love with the culture and hospitality Kansas City had to offer. I completed both undergrad and medical school at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. I always knew I wanted to be a pediatrician, but I wasn't quite ready to let go of adult patient relationships I enjoyed so much as a student. Med-Peds was the perfect answer. I interviewed all over the country, coast to coast and even down south. I was drawn once again to the Midwest charm of Indianapolis and the great feel of the IU Med-Peds family. I was interested in advocacy and service with hopes of pursuing a career in primary care. With a program as large as IU, I knew I would have endless opportunities even if my interests changed. I've enjoyed working with world-renowned faculty and residents that are friendly and motivated. When I'm not working, I'm out trying to find the best brunch and coffee shops. Current favorites include Eggshell Bistro and Calvin Fletcher's Coffee Company. I learned how to swim at the IU Natatorium this past year and am still struggling at learning guitar.
