Why I chose general surgery as a career: Taking care of people is an extremely rewarding experience. Being involved with their care in the clinic, in OR, and post-operatively on the ward is an experience unique to surgery.

Why I chose the IU School of Medicine General Surgery Residency Program: Aside from the excellent training opportunity, the residents all get along very well with each other and are great personalities and excellent doctors. Our program has a cordial professional relationship between residents and staff and the surgeons are incredible at teaching.

Professional/Research Interests: Hepatopancreatobiliary Surgery, Severe Acute, Pancreatitis/Necrotizing Pancreatitis, Pancreatic Cancer

Personal Interests/Hobbies: All Michigan State Spartan sports, Detroit sports, beer and breweries
