Bio
Why I chose general surgery as a career: I think general surgery allows you the broadest skillset as a doctor. I wanted the skills to be able to take care of a diverse range of patients and conditions. I wanted to be able to feel comfortable taking care of the most severely acute ill or injured patients.
Why I chose the IU School of Medicine General Surgery Residency Program: We have a robust global surgery program as well as the ability to train in diverse public, private, pediatric, and VA hospital settings. You will get a solid clinical and surgical foundation that will prepare you for practice and/or fellowship.
