About Neelam
Neelam Chand is the Executive Director for Faculty Affairs in IU School of Medicine’s Faculty Affairs and Professional Development. She oversees Faculty Affairs operations, staff, and strategic initiatives in the primary areas of Executive Recruiting, Faculty Recruiting, Faculty Relations, the Promotion and Tenure process and Faculty Systems. Neelam has been on campus for over 21 years working in Human Resources Administration as an HR Consultant and then as Director of HR and Academic Administration in the Department of Medicine. She has a Master’s degree in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Purdue University in Indianapolis. She earned her Senior Certified Professional certifications from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP) and Senior Professional Human Resources certification (SPHR). She also is Bronze certified in LEAN process improvement techniques. Neelam is committed to assisting our faculty have a great experience throughout their employment life cycle at the School of Medicine.
