Bio
Marawan has been a member of the pharmacology department staff at Egypt's National Research Center (NRC), where she holds the title of experienced pharmacologist and toxicologist. His primary focus has been on repurposing therapeutics and conducting preclinical and clinical research to address diseases common in Egypt. Marawan has been an experienced pharmacologist and toxicologist at Egypt's National Research Center (NRC), the country's primary research institution. He is skilled in pharmacology, laboratory work, animal modeling, statistics, scientific teaching, and scientific writing. In addition, he has contributed to clinical trials and the development of the COVID-19 vaccine, and he has held various roles within the medical division of the NRC.
Furthermore, Marawan received a certificate of completion from King's College in London, England, for excelling in their Clinical Development Modules and achieving first place. Thereafter, Marawan possesses preclinical and clinical studies skills, as well as extensive statistical analysis expertise. He used to work in diabetes, cancer, and epilepsy. Additionally, He is now conducting research at the Indiana University School of Medicine, focusing on the mechanisms of epileptogenesis following traumatic brain injury in rodent models or hippocampal injection of an epileptogenic drug. Using live brain imaging to study inflammatory mediators and bioluminescence via IVIS and EEG recording. Hopefully, these findings will help uncover the paradigm of epileptogenesis.

He possesses preclinical and clinical study skills and extensive statistical expertise. He used to work on drug-induced iron overload and tried to treat it with different repurposing techniques and approaches. He also tried to repurpose different drugs for the treatment of some diseases, including diabetes, cancer, peripheral neuropathy, dementia, and epilepsy. Additionally, he contributed to some clinical trials as a co-PI, member, and statistician.
