Bio
Dr. Ryan Hata completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at Wake Forest University and is a graduate of the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard Medical School Disaster Medicine Fellowship. Over the past decade he has served in various leadership, educational, operational, and strategic roles for multiple for-profit and non-profit organizations, and has lead disaster response and health education missions in multiple countries. He is currently the Assistant Director for the Disaster Medicine Fellowship at Indiana University and chairs the Counter-Terrorism Medicine Special Interest Group for the World Association for Disaster and Emergency Medicine. His research and clinical interests include disaster medicine, healthcare cybersecurity and technology, medical education, and counter-terrorism medicine. He is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity and Risk Management at Indiana University.
