Bio

Dr. Condello earned his doctorate in Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology at the University of Messina and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in 2015 at Indiana University School of Medicine in the laboratory of Dr. Matei, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In 2016, he joined Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as an Assistant Research Professor. Dr. Condello is currently Assistant Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Indiana University School of Medicine in the subspecialty of Gynecology Oncology. His ongoing research is focused in identifying and validating important oncogenic pathways and metabolic pattern alterations correlated with ovarian cancer stem cells survival and proliferation, with the final aim to find new functional target genes and test novel therapeutics. Recently, Dr. Condello has been recognized and awarded by the Department of Defense with the Ovarian Cancer Academy – Early-Career Investigator Award for his studies on Investigating and Targeting Ovarian Cancer Stem Cells Interactions with the Tumor Niche.
