Bio
I am a maternal-fetal medicine subspecialist with expertise in the area of fetal diagnosis and therapy. I see patients primarily at the Fetal Center at Riley children’s Health. I take care of high-risk pregnancies, including maternal andfetal conditions. Within my subspecialty, I have a wide range of training, research, and expertise in fetal diagnosis, fetal intervention, and diagnosis and management of abnormal placentation.
My approach to care for my pregnant patients is thorough assessment including the innovative use of ultrasound approaches like first trimester ultrasound, fetal echocardiography, fetal neurosonography, and 3D/4D imaging for abnormal fetal and placental conditions. I always aspire to provide and create the best care options either through my extensive training by leading experts in the field or through innovative bench-to-bedside research with focus on fetal intervention and surgery for complicated monochorionic twin pregnancies, spina bifida, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, lower urinary tract anomalies and other fetal structural anomalies.
I consider my happiest moments at work are when I scan, operate, conduct research, and teach my medical students, residents, and fellows.
However, my happiest place and times remain at home surrounded by my loving husband and biggest supporter “Hayder” and my three wonderful children “Zain, Adam, and Leah”. Hayder is an Internal-Medicine physician at
Indiana University, he was my medical school sweetheart and together we have had the most rewarding journey. We love to spend most of our free time doing outdoor activities, such as biking, walking, and swimming, and we
tremendously enjoy traveling to new places and explore their history, culture, architecture, and food.
