Bio
Dr. Sashidhar Sagi is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Indiana University. He graduated from NTR University of Health Sciences in 1999. He underwent extensive training in internal medicine and gastroenterology in India( MBBS and MD), the United Kingdom (MRCP), and the United States. He joined as faculty in 2013 after completing his gastroenterology fellowship at Indiana University. His clinical interests include the diagnosis and management of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD), Clostridium difficile colitis, microscopic colitis, colon cancer screening, and celiac disease. He is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterology Association. His research is focused on developing new therapies for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, fecal microbiota transplantation, and liver disease in patients with inflammatory bowel diseases.
