Mark H. Soonpaa, PhD

Bio

Dr. Soonpaa received an undergraduate degree in Natural Science from the University of North Dakota and his Ph.D. degree from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology. He also was a postdoctoral fellow at the Indiana University School of Medicine Krannert Institute of Cardiology. He has served as an assistant scientist at Krannert since 1994 and has numerous research publications to his credit. Dr. Soonpaa has received grant funding to study Cyclin expression to induce cardiac myocyte growth and Cyclin over-expression in the heart.
