Dr. Ashley Meagher is a general surgeon in Indianapolis, Indiana and is affiliated with Indiana University Health Medical Center. She received her medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and has been in practice between 6-10 years. She has completed two years of residency in the General Surgery program at UNC.
She received her MD from the University of Utah in 2010 and a BS in Microbiology from the University of Kansas in 2003.
Ashley’s primary research interests are in health disparities pertaining to the general surgical and trauma populations. This includes examining the effect insurance status and race have on utilization of post-acute care services, including rehabilitation. Ashley also has interests in global health and intends to pursue an MPH during her research time.
Outside of medicine, Ashley’s interests are broad. She loves the outdoors, enjoys bird-watching, hiking, and camping, as well as reading and listening to music. She is also an avid traveler.
