Bio

Jose P. Garcia, MD, specializes in cardiothoracic transplant surgery. Dr. Garcia has more than 25 years of experience in heart and lung transplant, mechanical support devices and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. He is an associate professor of clinical surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine and is the Surgical Director of Thoracic transplantation and artificial heart and lung programs at IU Health.


Dr. Garcias’ clinical interest includes heart and lung transplant, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation and mechanical support devices.
