Bio

Dr. Rhome completed his MD and PhD at the Medical University of South Carolina, followed by intership in Internal Medicine. He completed Radiation Oncology residency at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York. After that he relocated to Indianapolis to join the Radiation Oncology faculty at IU. His clinical and research interests are focused primarily on liver, gastrointestinal, breast and brain/spinal cord tumors. His personal philosophy for practicing oncology is to integrate data driven recommendations and research with patient-centric care models of decision making. The multidisciplinary environment at IU is key to implementing this model with surgeons, medical oncologists, and a wide array of teams involved in the treatment of cancer patients. When appropriate, he will discuss the option to participate in one of the many research studies open at IU.
