Bio
Dr. Fisher joined IU School of Medicine in 2017 as the Director of Breast Surgery and an Associate Professor of Surgery. Prior to coming to IU, Dr. Fisher served as an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and had multiple roles in education including fellowship director and associate clerkship director for the medical student surgery clerkship. Since joining IUSM, she has grown the breast surgery program to a large, high-volume, highly referred-to program. She remains active in education and developed a breast surgery fellowship at IU which began in 2020. She completed an MBA through the IU Kelley School of Business in 2020. She is well-published and is involved in clinical trials through the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center. She was named the inaugural Division Chief of Breast Surgery in 2024.

Dr. Fisher has published widely in areas of translational research of breast cancer, surgical education and outcomes research.
Dr. Fisher is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon with an interest in all aspects of breast care including preventative counseling and prophylactic procedures.
