Bio

Dr. Donegan received her medical degree from University College Dublin in Ireland and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians, Ireland. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology at the Mayo Clinic Rochester through a clinical investigator track. During this time Dr. Donegan obtained a Masters in Clinical and Translational Science studying the effects of pregnancy associated protein (PAPP)- A on insulin growth factors and its binding protein in diabetic nephropathy.

Dr. Donegan has a special interest and research focus on pituitary conditions. She has a joint position with the department of neurosurgery with whom she works closely to provide optimal multidisciplinary patient care and strives towards making Indiana University a center of excellence for patients with pituitary pathologies. As an active member in the Endocrine Society, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists and Pituitary Society, and through participation in several clinical studies, it is hoped that pituitary disease investigation and management will improve for all patients in the future.
