Bio

Why I chose general surgery as a career: I like to fix problems to help people. General surgery gives you the opportunity to do this by using technical skills and critical thinking.

Why I chose the IU School of Medicine General Surgery Residency Program: This program seemed invested in resident education and the residents are truly a family. It was important for me to pick a program that I felt I would have support from both faculty and co-residents.

Professional/Research Interests: I plan to go into a research lab focused on surgical oncology. I am still undecided what fellowship I would like to pursue, but believe I will choose to specialize after general surgery residency.

Personal Interests/Hobbies: My dogs Stella and Ozzie, working out and doing anything active, cooking and spending time with family
